Brenda Erdelyi is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Montana since 2008 and started private practice in 2010.
Originally, Brenda began working with people mandated to participate in treatment most often due to problematic or abusive sexual behaviors. Deeply involved in the Montana Sex Offender Treatment Association for over a decade, Brenda has maintained her professional education in the field of forensic and sexual problems by maintaining her clinical membership with the Association for Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) as well as with the National Board of Forensic Examiners (NBFE).
Brenda is currently working to expand clinically by furthering her training towards becoming a more sex positive therapist. In addition to furthering clinical skills, Brenda strongly believes in the importance of nutrition, movement, sleep, nature and connection as overall pillars of mental health. When not working, you may find her participating in a yoga class, gardening and preserving, running the trails or participating in local/regional races. Brenda utilizes an integrated approach to counseling based off her experience both in the office and out in the field. She draws knowledge from education in cognitive behavioral therapy, integrated-family systems, emotion-focused therapy and trauma-informed practices. Brenda is certified in utilizing EMDR in her sessions as well and encourages clients to engage the world from a whole-body health mindset.
